I’m excited to announce that I launched a new online mental health support group. This is a free Facebook group that you can join to connect with other bad ass babes on a mental health journey. I’m excited to be able to create a positive community and to be able to interact with my readers more. This is a peer support group and is not staffed by professionals. It is mean to share your struggles and offer support to other members. I’m so excited about this community and I hope you will join us! Here are some tips to get the most out of the group.
Write an Introduction Post
When you join please write a post to tell everyone about yourself and your mental health journey. This will help other members get to know you. You never know, hearing your story might help normalize someone elses experiences with mental health.
Leaving encouraging comments can give you a nice hit of positive energy. Even if you’re struggling yourself you can offer others encouragement which can help them in their own journey and give you a little bit of positive energy. The group is only as good as the members so please share lots of support and positivity.
Participate in Daily Threads
I will be posting themed questions everyday. Take the time to dig deep and post a reflective and thoughtful response. Taking a few minutes to respond to the thread everyday will give you a chance to reflect on where you are with your mental heath that week.
Read an inspiring article? Watch a kick ass video on YouTube? Share it with the group! The internet is such a good resource but it can be overwhelming. If you stumble upon a gem or something useful help your fellow group members out by sharing it.
