It’s still 90 degrees here in Florida but I am so excited for fall! I love new seasons, it feels like a fresh start to me. I was trying to wait until October first to put up my pumpkin decorations but we already had the first official day of fall and I have to live my best life. Here’s are all the things I’m looking forward to adding to my fall self-care routine. Check out some of my other posts on anxiety and depression for more mental health tips and tricks.

Coziness

Fall self-care is all about being cozy AF. Invest in a pair of super plush and warm socks to wear. I like these from Carhartt. If you don’t have one invest in a heated blanket and prepare for your bed to become your favorite place in the freaking world. Cuddle up in some warm pajamas to maximize the cozy factor.

Scents

I recently got this oil diffuser and I am beyond obsessed with it. I keep it next to my bed and use it at night. It’s perfect to use while you sleep because it automatically shuts off and it doesn’t have any of the risks that candles have (I have a very mischievous dog). I got this fall essential oil set for it and the pumpkin pie scent is amazing. I do have to have a pumpkin pie candle in my kitchen this time of year though. Lighting that candle really makes me feel like it’s fall.

Fall movies

Here’s my fall movie watch list:

You’ve got mail

Gardenstate

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

Easy Pumpkin Face Mask

Making face masks is one of my favorite self care activities to do. Here’s a quick and easy one for a fall themed self care night.

1 tablespoon pumpkin puree

1 tablespoon raw honey

1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Directions: Mix all of the ingredients together let sit for 10-15 minutes and wash off.

Pumpkin scrub

DIY scrubs are awesome. They are cheaper than anything you can buy in the store and work way better than anything you will find in Sephora.

1 cup of granulated sugar

1/4 cup of coconut oil

2 tsp. of pumpkin pie spice

2 tsp. of vanilla extract.

Fall Self-Care

Fall drinks

Apple Cider

1 bottle apple cider

3 cinnamon sticks

1 teaspoon whole allspice

1 teaspoon whole cloves

1/3 cup brown sugar

Put the cider, brown sugar and cinnamon sticks in a slow cooker or large pan. Put the cloves and allspice in a tea ball strainer and add to the pot. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to keep the cider warm.

  1. I love this article so much, it’s exactly what I do when it comes autumn. It’s my favourite season of the year because I get to bring all of my candles out my cosy knitted jumpers and films and all of the colours are so beautiful. My husband tells me I need to live in the US to celebrate fall because here in the UK nobody cares about it haha. Great read, thank you.
