I woke up this morning and it felt like I had a weight on my chest. It was clear right away that my bad day from yesterday had carried over.
I knew I was going to have to do something to try and clear the heaviness from yesterday and reset my mindset.
I really did not want to let my stress and bad mood from the yesterday carry into a new day.
I did a visualization while I was laying in bed and it really helped me feel better and change my mindset.
When I was done I knew I had to share the exercise I did with you guys. I hopped on Livestream over in the Radical Transformation Project to share the visualization with you. You can find the replay below.
Here are a few other things I did today to help boost my spirits.
- Made my favorite coffee
- Exchanged funny GIFs in my group chat
- Drank a ton of water
- Called my Mom
- Walked my dog around my neighborhood
- Listened to podcasts
- Wrote affirmations in my journal
After all of that, I finally started to feel a little better. It’s OK to have a bad day but the truth is sometimes it’s worth it to put in the extra effort to change how you feel.
I understand that it’s not always possible but if I’m being honest when I actually take action to make myself feel better it almost always works.
Doing the visualization exercise while I was in bed helped me start my day off right. The momentum from that one action stepped helped me get going this morning and do a few more positive things for myself and then a few more.
I still don’t feel 100% but I’m managing and I feel hopeful that today will be even better.
What do you to when you’re having a bad day or wake up in a bad mood? I’m always looking for new ideas and things to try!
