I’ve always read about all the great benefits of meditating but it’s always been really hard for me. If I’m anxious the last thing I want to do is freaking meditate. I’ve found that guided meditation really helps me calm down when I’m anxious and I’m able to start feeling better faster. I also like that you can do these with headphones on anywhere you have your phone. I always end up doing them at the airport before I get on flights because that is when my anxiety is at it’s freaking worse (check out my travel anxiety survival guide here). These are some of my favorite free visualizations for anxiety.
I hope these meditations and visualizations for anxiety help you out. I have found that doing this on a regular basis has really helped me learn how to control my anxiety. The more I practice getting into a calm and relaxed state the easier it is to do when I’m anxious and freaking the heck out. I usually try to do them at night before I go to sleep but you can fit them in wherever you have time during the day. This is a great self-care practice to start doing every day.
